Austin Bachmann Chosen to lead Federal effort

Austin Bachmann was named Vice President for Commercial and Government business development, Software Consortium announced today. Bachmann will add the federal business development portfolio to his previous responsibilities leading business development for the state government and DC-area commercial markets.

Bachmann's initial mandate is to take the lead in building a strong network of partners and clients in the Federal market, building upon the groundwork laid by SCI since being awarded a GSA Schedule 70 last year.

"Austin has built such a strong presence for our company in the Washington, D.C., and state government markets," said Amirault. "He was the natural choice to lead our charge into the Federal space," according to CEO Janet Amirault.

Bachmann currently directs business development in the Washington, D.C. Metro region and state government practices. Prior to joining Software Consortium, Bachmann served in a variety of senior business development and marketing roles for large organizations, and managed the successful launch of new business ventures. He has developed a broad experience in publishing, new media, research, telecommunications, and Internet technologies.
