Janet Amirault
Managing Partner and CEO

As Chief Operating Officer and then CEO, Janet Amirault has led Software Consortium's growth from its beginnings as a small broker of independent consultants to a high-value, high-impact professional services firm. Amirault's vision of a 21st-century company and her commitment to measured growth through planned diversification have resulted in consistently strong company performance for two decades. Prior to joining Software Consortium, Amirault amassed twenty years experience in business software solution development, project management, training, organizational development, and business management at Fortune 1000 companies in the banking, financial services, health insurance, and manufacturing industries.

Amirault holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Loyola College in Maryland.


Peter Fianu
Executive Vice President and CIO

Peter Fianu serves as Software Consortium's CIO and Executive Vice President heading our Washington, DC, branch. A proactive and influential leader with more than a decade of leadership experience for companies in the financial services, healthcare, communications, and transportation industries, Fianu provides strategic leadership for the company from both a business and technology perspective. Fianu has demonstrated an ability to define, develop, and launch technologies and systems that result in significant business impact, serving as CIO/CTO for a major healthcare infrastructure company, a consumer services company, and a fast-growth financial services company.

Fianu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Towson University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.


Austin Bachmann
Vice President, Business Development, Commercial and Government

Austin Bachmann leads Software Consortium's business development and sales efforts in the Washington, DC, state government, and federal government consulting practices. A highly-qualified and experienced manager, Bachmann brings years of diverse sales, marketing and operations management experience in the new media, information technology and publishing/advertising industries. He has particular expertise in sales and operations management, having built and managed teams dedicated to penetrating and expanding new territories, including the Software Consortium Washington, DC branch office.

Bachmann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Baltimore.


David Beveridge
Vice President, Federal Operations | Director, Program Management

David Beveridge serves as leader of Software Consortium's growing federal government consulting effort, developing key partnerships and operational standards for federal consulting, as well as providing program and project management services to a wide variety of clients. He has more than 25 years experience managing information technology projects and initiatives, for federal and state government, non-profit, and commercial clients.

Beveridge holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Knox College and a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College Graduate School.


Scott Bolden
Director, Recruiting | Manager, Organizational Development

Scott Bolden directs recruiting activities and proposal management for Software Consortium's Washington DC consulting practice, including state government and federal government consulting. With more than 20 years management experience in information technology and proposal management, Bolden has served as the key resource development manager for Software Consortium's DC branch office since its inception. Bolden has provided a range of technology consulting services and strategic proposal management for firms in the Washington metropolitan area.

Bolden holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and Psychology from the University of Maryland.


Nancy Clifford
Vice President, Recruiting

Nancy Clifford is the recruiting director for Software Consortium's Baltimore consulting practice. A long time recruitment and human resources professional, Clifford has served Software Consortium as director of human resources and resource management, and is an expert in matching the right consulting team to specific client needs to ensure that we deliver the right expertise to each client. She is responsible for translating our two overarching values—The Power to Strengthen Your Business and A Passion for Caring—into a reality that our clients experience on a daily basis. Clifford has held positions in marketing, computer operations, and facilities at Software Consortium and other leading Baltimore area businesses.

Clifford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Towson University.


Ken Mattola
Practice Director

As Practice Director for the Baltimore Branch, Ken Mattola brings portfolio/program management and technical oversight to the Baltimore consulting practice. He has over 20 years of increasingly responsible information technology program management experience, with deep expertise in healthcare IT, enterprise architecture, technology implementations and business solutions. He has provided project management and program management services to leading national healthcare institutions.

Mattola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.


Kevin Nelson
Practice Director

Kevin Nelson’s role as Practice Director is to provide technical oversight of the Washington DC consulting practice. He has over 20 years experience leading mission critical projects, with deep experience in healthcare and finance. Nelson has served clients as a technical project manager, PMO advisor, technical lead, architect and developer, managing projects for large enterprise clients, centered around business process re-engineering/management, workflow automation and document/content management technologies.

Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Villa Julie College.


Brian Zernhelt
Vice President, Business Development, Commercial

Brian Zernhelt leads Software Consortium's business development and sales efforts in the Baltimore regional consulting practice. Zernhelt brings more than 20 years experience leading sales efforts in the software technology, services and the hospitality industries throughout the mid-Atlantic region, from start up ventures to Fortune 1000 companies. He has provided sales leadership in the greater Baltimore area for the past 15 years.

Zernhelt holds a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Public Relations and Speech Communications from Shippensburg University.
